The KühlBod has been specifically designed to address a critical need identified by end-of-life (EOL) support professionals. While traditional cooling plates—often referred to as cold plates, cool plates, or multi-coolers—serve an essential function, they are frequently supplemented with Techni-Ice, an Australian-made product known for its rapid cooling capabilities and exceptional longevity.

In collaboration with a local development group, we have created the KühlBod, an all Australian innovation. It is a waterproof and insulated sleeve designed to optimise the use of Techni-Ice. By incorporating purpose-built pockets capable of holding up to six frozen Techni-Ice sheets, the KühlBod simplifies cooling placement, eliminates concerns about protecting existing bedding, and streamlines the process for professionals. This innovative solution ultimately saves time and reduces stress during the sensitive and critical period that follows death.
